Who we are...
The Back Country Horsemen of Colorado is a member of the Back
Country Horsemen of America (BCHA) a service organization working in the back country and educating the users of the back country. These two elements, along with a determination to protect the heritage of back country stock use, are primary factors of our existence.
We have a proven record for effective education and service in Colorado. Donated volunteer hours on trail maintenance and repair work for 2001 totaled 3,524 hours. Approximate hours for 2002 totaled over 3500 hours. The BCHCO contributes to the trail use of diversified recreational groups including hikers, bicyclists, ATVs and equestrians.
|
Education about Leave No Trace principals and the political movements affecting the horse industry are critical. Many trails have already been closed to public use. We need your help now. Give your support by becoming a member of BCH or helping
us start a new club in your area.
